Photo: Dancers from Ballet Hispánico perform ‘Sombrerísimo,’ a piece about how clothing can identify you.

Since its formation in 1970, Ballet Hispánico works to showcase “the need for inclusion and diversity” in performance art through its dance company, School of Dance, and its community arts partnerships across New York City and the country — all by giving Latino dancers a chance to flourish.  The dance company brought its swift moves to the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts on Jan. 19 for the first time in more than a decade.
