Of his Penny Dreadful offshoot, City Of Angels creator John Logan has said he wanted to explore the monsters without rather within. One of the themes of the new series is “Beware the monsters around you.” Instead of showing us the humanity of supernatural beings, City Of Angels seeks to uncover humanity’s capacity for monstrous acts.
