This mural, La Bamba, by Hector Ponce is on Van Nuys Boulevard and Amboy Avenue. An unveiling of the Ritchie Valens Memorial Highway will take place on Aug. 25 at Ritchie Valens Park in Pacoima, California. The newly named highway stretch is located on the I-5 freeway between state Routes 170 and 118 freeways.
