Can this really be a student production? UCSC’s ‘Zoot Suit’ hits the right notes of energy and professionalism in every way. That the all-UCSC student-acted production can be this professional is applause worthy in itself. But that it can also be so enthrallingly entertaining and yet brutally direct is remarkable.
