20 years ago I met a Mexican girl from Mexico City, Thalía Sodi, one of the biggest stars in the Latin world. Oddly enough she starred in a show called Quinceañera when she was 15 years old so her own experience with it, not only in TV but also in real life as a Latina growing up, gave us a unique insight. There are probably three main events in a Latina woman’s life; her Quinceañera, her wedding, and her first child being born. The Quinceañera is really the centerpiece of the family coming together.
