Photo: The Los Altos History Museum will hold a traditional medicine workshop in conjunction with its “Inspired by Juana” exhibition about Juana Briones.
Elisa Marina Alvarado will lead a workshop on indigenous Mexican and Mexican American traditional medicine at the Los Altos History Museum. The workshop covers basic indigenous concepts about health and healing. Activities include the making of a medicine bundle and a presentation of herbal remedies Juana Briones would have used to heal common health issues, taught by museum docent Marilyn Henderson.
