To say I was a fan of Chevrolet’s original Fleetline/Aerosedan—the box-stock custom produced from 1942-1948—would be a complete understatement. Despite having a beyond rural-road nosebleed stance as intended by its producer (something easily addressed with a torch and or basic hand tools), the sweptback fastback was an artistic design not so much ahead of its time from a cultural standpoint but rather from an automotive design standpoint.
