Jimmy Edward, the soulful voice of the original Latin Breed, died Sunday morning. He was 68. Details of his death weren’t immediately known. The San Antonio, Texas, native brought a soulful and commercial sound to early Tejano music, said saxophonist Gilbert “Gibby” Escobedo, a founding member of the horn-driven Latin Breed.
