Actor, comedian and philanthropist Cheech Marin stands in front of the billboard announcing his Papel Chicano Dos: Works on Paper from the Collection of Cheech Marin, during a press conference Saturday. The exhibit is open to the public through June 17 at the El Paso Museum of Art. The exhibit, featuring 65 works from Marin’s private collection, explores the Chicano identity from the Chicano Revolution to the present day. Marin is dedicated to bringing Chicano art to the forefront of the American art scene. This is the first time this exhibition is being displayed in the state of Texas.
