Hosting Sunday’s Hispanic Heritage Family Festival inside Clute Intermediate School seemed fitting considering 75 percent of the student body is Hispanic, Principal Chris Loftin said. “Our school really represents the community of Clute,” Loftin said. Sunday’s event was a good way to bring students, families and the community into the school and offer resources and entertainment, he said.
