Three Oaks, Michigan — Dan Navarro has been a songwriter for more than 30 years as half of Lowen & Navarro. The acoustic duo wrote songs for the likes of Pat Benatar, The Bangles and Jackson Browne, and released several albums of their own in the 1990s and 2000s before calling it quits in 2009, after Eric Lowen was diagnosed with ALS. Lowen died in 2012.
