Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center showcases 65 artworks from the private collection of Cheech Marin, actor, director, writer, musician and humanitarian, in the new exhibition Papel Chicano Dos. This major exhibition features 24 established and emerging artists, a small theater and one amazing car. Dating from the late 1980’s to present day, the artists’ work demonstrates a myriad of techniques from watercolor and aquatint to paste and mixed media. Their iconic imagery has influences ranging from pre-Hispanic symbols and post-revolutionary nationalistic Mexican motives to the Chicano movement of the 1960’s and contemporary urban culture.
