San Jose, California — The festival may have been named after the Three Kings, but it was Freddie the camel and Beverly the mini donkey who stole the show Saturday at the Children’s Discovery  Museum. Dozens of excited children lined up to greet the farm animals as they made a special appearance for the San Jose museum’s 20th celebration of El Dia de Tres Reyes, or Three Kings Day. The Children’s Discovery Museum started celebrating the holiday — which traditionally marks the three magis’ visit to baby Jesus in the manger — in the 1990s as a way to connect with Latino families in the community.
